- Enables Interrelated Dynamic Calculation and Isolated Building Calculation
- Both annual energy consumption calculation (dynamic calc) that takes account equilibrium state between building environment and mechanical system, and peak load calculation (coincidence calc) based on the zoning are possible.
- Enables to calculate the peak load at 842 locations in Japan
- Expanded AMeDAZ design weather data is used for this calculation. It is possible to calculate pre-cooling for less than an hour as well as morning/evening cooling system (on/off more than twice throughout a day).
- Smooth calculations for peak loads and annual building energy consumptions
- With utilizing complete link system in BEST program where the input data is standardized, the following flow of calculations can be achieved smoothly; peak load calculation → Annual load calculation → Energy consumption calculation.
- Considers the influence from neighbor zones
- The simulation program takes account the heat transfer between zones next to each other; core area to perimeter area, conditioned space to unconditioned space etc.
- Enables to evaluate thermal comfort
- Thermal comfort indicator, operative temperature and PMV can be simulated in order to evaluate radiant environment and thermal comfort.
- Flexible on calculation periods
- It is possible to change the schedule of conditional and unconditional period freely; this makes possible to analyze the change in temperature during pre-cooling hours.
- Rich Database for Building Materials
- The simulation software has over 750 kinds of window materials, and can evaluate conditional windows with indoor blind, pre-installed blind and airflow window. Over 230 kinds of wall data based on society of HVAC data and ISO data, is available.
- With simple input, daylight control calculation is possible
- The effect of blind slat angular control and daylight control can be evaluated simply.
- Equips function for collective specification setting
- For multi-zones calculations, the common window, external and internal wall heat transfer can be set and changed all at one time.
